Restoring Dad’s 28-Year-Old Honda Scooter | The Most Satisfying Restoration

After more than 28 years, this Honda SCR100 was ready for a second chance. Originally purchased by the customer’s father in 1998, this little scooter had become much more than just a ride—it carried years of memories and held a special place in his heart. After sitting for years, the scooter was in rough condition. The bodywork was badly worn, many components were dirty and deteriorated, and the original instrument cluster was no longer usable. With 57,000 kilometers on the clock, bringing this old Honda back to life would be no easy task. The customer asked us to completely restore it and prepare it as a special birthday surprise for his father. We stripped the scooter down to its individual components, thoroughly cleaned and restored every part, sandblasted and repainted the frame and wheels, rebuilt the engine, restored the suspension and carburetor, refinished the bodywork, and carefully reassembled everything from the ground up. This restoration was not just about repairing an old scooter. It was about bringing back a piece of family history and giving a 28-year-old Honda a new life.
